Werner Herzog: And so, Earth spins silently in its dark void, cold and indifferent to the parasites that have taken up residence on its surface. It will continue this mournful dance long after its vegetation has withered, its oceans have dried up, and we humans, who once arrogantly plundered its resources, have perished. I do not view mankind’s role in the greater celestial narrative through a sentimental lens; we are merely an insignificant sneeze which has interrupted a much grander symphony.
